This was a fantastic and imaginative story. I'd like to see more in a series with this (earlier stories) or other probes.

Really great story. Loved it. I wondered ay first whether I would be annoyed by the style, but that disappeared in a few lines. I like fact we don't know what the demon is...

Very well written. As an anthropologist I was a bit disappointed at first that a science fiction probe was sent back to a mythic place rather than a real one, but in the end, I suppose it was an unique admixture of fantasy background with science fiction technology.

Is the Tower of Babel definitely fictitious? (that's a genuine question).

Or was is perhaps a real place which, over millennia, has transformed into legend. A bit like "hell" which, unlike today's cosmic location of infinite suffering, was just a rubbish dump outside Jerusalem.
